The temple is simultaneously awe-inspiring and serene. The architecture is striking with intricate detail incorporating symbols from many religions. The House of Worship is open to the public and used as a devotional space for people of any faith. It is one of the "Seven Wonders of Illinois" and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
