Care instructions: Wipe clean, do not soak or place in dishwasher. Top of stopper can be twisted off to allow more thorough cleaning of the base.
This design, my second collaboration with the incredibly talented, paint, poetry and voice artist, Rina Lucas of Staff & Palette, was inspired by her vibrant original oil painting and poem, "Snow at the Beach". As described by Rina, "This piece was inspired by a rare snowstorm in the Lowcountry in January 2018. It was created by a very green technique I call 'gleaning the palette' where nearly spent paint from a previous project is used to make more art as it is applied in thick layers onto the canvas with my palette knife. This remarkable and rare moment depicted reminds us to cherish each one, because truly each is precious in its own way."
Through my design, I attempted to capture Rina's artistic efforts to convey a prism of color bursting through a rare blanket of snow at the beach in Charleston, SC. A 3" x 2" card with a photo of the painting and the accompanying poem is included with each order.
